With the cold and flu bug sweeping across the US, here is a reminder of some remedies you can use to fight it.
- Gargle with plain water.
- Have some chicken soup.
- Get plenty of rest.
- Try a Zinc supplement or lozenge.
- For aches and pains, acetaminophen (Tylenol or Advil) may help.
- Use honey to soothe a cough.
- If your nasal passages are blocked, try a decongestant and skip the Vicks.
- If your stomach is also upset, ginger can provide some relief.
